WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

In this facilitated discussion, participants deconstruct race and racism. Through interactive activities, they examine systemic racism and challenge traditional ideas about racism, such as the evasion of race.

Participants then explore the foundations of anti-racism. They are introduced to an organizational model to guide the work of racial equity within their organization.

At the end of this session, participants should have an understanding of how racism is experienced, and how systemic racism manifests within society and within the workplace. They should also have strategies to foster anti-racism within their organization.
